Hi, War Eagle, and Welcome!

I’m Mary-Coker Green, an advocate, lifelong learner, sleek professional and resilient hard worker. I believe in the importance of pulling the world into a common mission, whatever that may be, and nothing brings me more joy than a conversation over a great cup of coffee. My mission in life is to make those who enter my company leave it feeling noticed, seen, important and valued and I believe making an individual feel that way is the most powerful thing we can do as people.

Education:

One of my favorite fun facts about myself – usually shared after getting to know someone – is that I was homeschooled in middle and high school! This challenged my education to be more curiosity-driven and drastically helped my time-management skills when coming to college. I am currently a senior at Auburn University studying Agricultural Business and Economics as well as Public Relations. As the one and only Auburn fan in my family, I don’t think I could love my school of choice more. Keep reading to hear more from my time at Auburn.

Involvement:

Having limited student involvement opportunities in high school, I came to Auburn wanting to try any and everything. Throughout my time at Auburn, I served in Student Government Association as a Freshman Forum member as well as the Assistant Director of Hey Day and Creed Day, getting to plan and execute two of my favorite Auburn Traditions. I served Auburn Panhellenic as the Director of Campus Relations and the Director of Recruitment Operations where I coordinated the oversight of all 18 Auburn Panhellenic Sororities’ recruitment. However, my favorite involvement opportunity was serving as a Student Recruiter for three years as well as the Vice President of Administration for Student Recruiters. Our STUDS, as we call them, are our campus tour guides that share our beloved “Loveliest Village on the Plains” with the incoming classes. I also served as Miss Auburn University within the Miss America Organization.

Advocate:

I am the owner of a 501(c)3 organization entitled “ENGAGE: Building Healthy and Resilient Minds.” This started after I was in a traumatic car accident during my senior year of high school. As a trauma survivor, I now understood the struggle that happens after walking away from something that affects over 70% of the population. Through this nonprofit, I have raised over $35,000 and impacted over 11.5 million people. I authored a children’s book titled The Girl Who Grew A Garden that is located in the Library of Congress as well as used to teach english as a second language in Guatemala and Ghana. I developed a global partnership with Trauma Free World to create an avenue for educators to have free access to trauma-informed training to bridge the gap in mental health support for students experiencing trauma. My organization is intended to be a welcoming and engaging place of solace for those facing what I and so many others were ill-prepared to encounter.

Career:

I desire to have a career in fundraising. I am excited to match my enthusiasm for helping others advocate for missions in which they are passionate about with my experience fundraising for my particular passion. I also had the opportunity to intern with Auburn University Advancement where I spent a summer learning about donors and the gifts that are given to create the University that many of us know and love today. The ability to take a donor’s specific desires and match them with current needs of our University was transformative in the development of my career aspirations and I am excited to see where this takes me.

Thank you dearly for taking the time to learn more about me. I would love to connect with you and hear your story.

All my best and War Eagle,
